For Back To School Students

Along with the end of summer vacation 2009, a new semester starts. You are now entering a higher grade and meeting new friends, together with old friends, maybe. Therefore, a back-to-school slideshow video is good to say hello to new faces, and to share wonderful summer vacation stories with all friends.

For Teachers

Teachers could do many things to bring students out of wild summer 2009 and back to learning class. Some students may even have some of jitters. In such case, teachers could help students know one another first. Afterwards, many "ice-breaker" games could be played to improve class atmosphere (by Kristin KetteringHam) . Another option is to share summer vacation story one by one. Somebody could narrate a wonderful story, just talking. But for some shy students, it's not an easy job to speak in front of strange persons. However, they can make a video slideshow to tell their vacation story.

Guide to Make Back to school slideshow

What you need
1. Summer vacation photos, videos and optional music
2. Back to school slideshow tool (DVD Slideshow Builder
recommended)
3. DVD Burner and DVD Disc or Youtube account if upload online

Step 1: Add vacation Photos and suitable music

Download and install this slideshow movie DVD creator. Once launched, you will start from Slideshow tab. Here, import favorite pictures/videos and music to the storyboard. If required, double-click media source to edit.

Step 2: Change Transition for vacation photos

When your import photo and video, random photo transition will automatically applied to them. But you can change photo transition by clicking transition thumb on storyboard and selecting desired transition in the resulting dialog.

Step 3: Author Good looking DVD menu

Many pre-made DVD menu templates are provided on the left of Menu tab. Double click desired menu template to applied. And then right-click on the right to customize menu to get a personalized slideshow DVD menu. Note that you can change slideshow DVD menu background music to favorite songs. To do so, click the browse button and select a music file from local hard drive.

Step 4: Burn vacation Story to DVD or save as video

Now burn your summer vacation story to DVD slideshow so that you can play it on stand-alone class room DVD player or computer DVD player. If you can get on internet from your class room, you could also upload the created video to youtube (or any other video site you want), and play it online when you are telling your vacation story. MP4 format is better for Youtube video.

It's extremely easy to output back to school slideshow, either on DVD or as video file. To do so, go to Create tab, select DVD or MP4 format from the drop-down list and click Start button to go on. Only one thing to note, you should select correct TV standard in Options dialog box. As regard to this, get help from Help button if you don't know about the 'TV Standard' thing.

Tips:

1. Built-in DVD burn engine to author and burn slideshow with menu to DVD. However, you could also create slideshow ISO image and burn slideshow with your favorite DVD burning program, say Nero, Roxio and the free DVD Flick.
2. Enhance Slideshow Video Quality by switching to Best Quality option in Options dialog.
3. The Menu tab could be omitted if you just make back to school slideshow for blog/web page. To do say, just select MP4, AVI, WMV, 3GP, MPEG-I, MPEG-II as output video formats in the output drop-down list.
